Here are today's words:


1. 整備 [seibi] - preparation; maintenance
2. うろうろする [urourosuru] - hang around; wander
3. 除く [nozoku] - excluding; except
4. いわゆる [iwayuru] - what is called
5. 有料 [yuuryou] - charge
6. いきいき [ikiiki] - lively; active; excited
7. いずれ [izure] - some day; in the future
8. 盛る [moru] - pile up; mound
9. くだらない [kudaranai] - worthless; trashy; rubbish
10. 浅い [asai] - shallow

  1. This is a lot of words. Any special techniques for learning? Are you just drilling, writing sentences, or having someone quiz you?

  2. I find that I can always just rely on rote memorization when studying vocabulary. Writing things down (or typing) helps me to remember words. The second time I took the JLPT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_Language_Proficiency_Test), I relied heavily on flashcards and my vocabulary score improved by a significant margin as a result. Plus, it helps that I live here and I'll probably see or hear half of the words I learn on a given day within a week of learning them. :)
