[300 new Japanese words] in 30 days: Day 1. June 24, 2012.

This afternoon, I sat down on the couch with my tools:

1 Japanese textbook that I bought ages ago, 1 vocabulary notebook, 1 highlighter and one erasable ink pen...with pink ink...just because.

Here are my ten words for today:

1. 静まる [shizumaru] - to become quiet

2. 落石 [rakuseki] - falling rock

3. 清書 [seisho] - clean copy

4. 優れる [sugureru] - to excel

5. 省く [habuku] - to delete, omit.

6. 革命 [kakumei] - revolution

7. 公務員 [koumuin] - civil servant

8. 苦労 [kurou] - troubles, hardships

9. 人権 [jinken] - human rights, civil liberties

10. 伺う [ukagau] - to visit

Ten more tomorrow!
